She holds her arm out to support Felix as he sits, so she's ready the instant she sees that massive sword thundering down. She grabs him and yanks him toward the wall. Twisting to her knees, her Colt is cocked and aimed before the blade has met any quarry.
Most armor is weaker under the arms. Granted, most armor ain't animate or magical, but that's where she aims all the same.
